Gary’s Homemade Horror Films

Long before I was annoying everyone with my rock bands, I was annoying people with
my movies. I was passionately in love with movie production, influenced heavily by the
Irwin Allen movies of the 1970s. What a great time to be a kid! I was obsessed with the
makeup effects, and practical gags of the Hollywood heavy-hitters such as Jack Pierce,
and Dick Smith. I still insist that Gary Geare and I invented the blood bag. The entire
neighborhood would be in turmoil during these productions. Anyone could be in the
movie that wanted to; I appeared in none. Stellar performances were caught by my dads
Bell & Howell Super 8 camera, and now you can enjoy them as well on YouTube!
